Enar Kornelius Leferink is a PhD researcher in Engineering at the University of Cambridge, studying the fundamental conditions that make circular economies both functional and sustainable. His research integrates industrial ecology, economic modeling, techno-economic analysis, and supply chain research to explore how collaboration and competition can coexist for maximum resource efficiency, how uncertainty in byproducts and waste shapes circular systems, how firms behave within circular supply chains, and where the practical limits to circularity lie.
Beyond his research, Enar co-leads initiatives within Iceland’s Environmentalist Association and collaborates with eco-industrial parks, companies, and NGOs to advance sustainable industry. In his free time, he enjoys music, travel, and design.
